About the Founders of
the Take Two Challenge
Meet Jason and Brittny Torres
For a long time, we kept running into the same frustrating problems in our relationship, and we didn’t really understand why. Jason tends to think in a more logical, structured way and values clear communication. Brittny, as a neurodivergent, experiences things differently—with strong emotions, moments of overwhelm, and her own way of processing things. What felt like small misunderstandings would quickly turn into tension. We both ended up feeling unheard, confused, and sometimes even alone, even though we were right next to each other. The problem wasn’t a lack of love—it was a lack of understanding.
Over time, we realized that nothing was “wrong” with either of us. We just didn’t fully understand how the other person thinks, feels, and responds. That realization changed everything. We started slowing down, learning how to communicate in ways that worked for both of us, and meeting each other where we truly are. Our journey hasn’t been perfect, but it’s been real. That’s why we created the Take Two Challenge—to help couples like us stop missing each other and start building a connection that actually works.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help couples—especially those navigating neurodivergent and neurotypical differences—move from confusion and frustration to clarity, understanding, and real connection. We believe that most relationships don’t fail because of a lack of love, but because of a lack of understanding. Through simple, practical guidance, we exist to help couples slow down, see each other clearly, and build a relationship that actually works for both of them.
